The landscapes of the Atlantic Forest Biome stretch majestically across Santa Catarina. With accessible texts and beautiful images, we invite the reader to discover the types of forest formations, high-altitude fields, mangroves and restingas that are home to an incredible variety of animals. In addition, we present 27 species of fauna, we describe the importance of conserving this biome for the maintenance of ecosystem services and, at the end, inspiring stories of successful conservation actions. As aves formam o maior grupo de animais que dispersam sementes na natureza. Através de seu modo de vida, podemos dizer que muitas delas são importantes plantadoras de árvores. Num quintal, num parque ou até mesmo no pátio da escola, caso tenha árvores, iremos perceber a presença de aves. Observar ou escutar seus cantos traz bem-estar emocional, quer dizer, naquele momento sentimos sensação de felicidade. Nesse livro guia mostramos 60 espécies de aves que observamos no nosso quintal. Ele fica em Florianópolis, na região norte da Ilha de Santa Catarina. Algumas delas aparecem diariamente, outras em algumas épocas do ano. Birds form the largest group of animals that disperse seeds in nature. Through their way of life, we can say that many of them are important tree planters.
